P-plate f-laws
Published 1 month, 2 weeks ago in My life.With some P-platers now only allowed to carry one passenger under 21, isn’t this just going to put more of them on the road? With P-platers over represented in crash stats, just watch as the road toll rises.

Apparently the idea is that one P-plater carrying 3 of his (under 21) mates in the car with him is likely to have more accidents than if all 4 of the P-platers drove in their own cars, because he is distracted by them. And it’s true that young people in the car can be awful distracting.
I suppose it’s a good idea to try a law like this (who knows, it might work? Only time will tell), but I wouldn’t make it permanent. Also it’s a bit of a stupid time to do it since petrol prices are so high and the last thing our environment needs is more cars on the road.
And just another reason I never plan to get my license, ever.
