Petrol prices

With petrol prices so high, is anyone considering catching public transport to and from work? I’ve been thinking about it, but the fact that it will take more than an hour by train to get to my office, which is only 15 minutes away by car, is putting me off.

Whats all this fuss over petrol prices, sure it goes up but so does MILK! Yet we buy it some places it costs even one dollar more because of no competition. They may as well put petrol up to $2.50 a litre, we still have to buy it same as our daily bread.

Just put a price on the 45 minutes additional time lost holding what I assume is your baby being kissed in your profile. If one can afford the petrol, taking into account the cost of a ticket, standing to and from, open to the elements, stick with the car and feel good about the baby instead. What about the value of family time available because of the saved time on the road. How about flexibility - that way your conscience won’t be an issue if it ever was….We’ve been told petrol will go up to two dollars within 18 mths????

I did the maths. It’s cheaper for me to drive to work for the fortnight on a tank of petrol then it is to catch public transport to work for a fortnight. And i only have to go on a bus for 10 mins. Go figure that out.
