Let’s start a fishing blog

for starters:
Location: Lagoon Pier
Time: 3am-9am
Baits: squid, pipi, pilchards; prawn
rigs: paternoster, running sinker
Caught eight pinkies, one salmon, one whiting and a dastardly puffer fish. All fish taken on all baits at different times during the morning. Started on the run-in tide and everything went quiet once the low tide kicked in.

Mordiallic Pier great place for garfish at this time of year. Try using silver fish don’t buy them from the shop at the beach its too epxensive buy soem from ompltete anglers or a fishign tackel store. I dont know anywhere that sells them. It is advised to use a long rod and a garfish rig browse the net for one. Um and you need plently of berley.

Hey again. You posted on my fishing thing also. BTW a lto fo people seem to be starting one up.. Maybe we could actually create a fishing dedicated website. The one that is currently working is pretty dodgy noone has current posts on it.
You wanted a report on my trip to the Goulburn River …. well here goes.
Started at Gilmours Bridge & headed up stream at 1st light. Used various lures (spinners) with bladed celtas in green/gold being the most successful. Brown trout rapalas were also successful, though only smaller fish accepted them.
The 2 keepers were both taken on green/gold celta lures at around 8:30 - 8:45 am.
Cooked them in the smoker using hickory chips. The process took about 20 minutes, the fish were in the smoker for about 13 minutes or so & tasted absolutely 1st class.
